Lado Mar and Lado Montaña – seaside and mountain side in Spanish – two names deeply rooted in the geography and the spirit of Barcelona itself.  Situated between the river Llobregat and Besós, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Collserola mountain range, Barcelona’s landscape naturally divides the city into two distinct realms: ‘Lado Montaña’ and ‘Lado Mar’ . Local people embrace this geographical duality and natural beauty with such passion that they even use it to locate themselves within the city – ‘Nos vemos en la esquina de Provença lado mar’ (let´s meet in the corner of Provença sea side).
